Chapter 2

Trunks was standing at the punch bowl as the others danced and talked about old times, questioning Marron on her trip, wondering how long she would be home for. Marron. He had hit on Marron today. His best friend. How had he not recognized her?

"Hi Trunks," came a voice from beside him. He turned to look at whoever it was, and found blue eyes staring intently at him. "Whatcha doing?"
"Aside from making a fool out of myself like I did this afternoon?" She chuckled lightly.
"You know, I would really like it if your offer still stood on showing me around the city. I don't know anyone else that I would enjoy going with more than one of my best friends."
He looked at her. "Sure Marron, that would be great." She nodded at him and walked off disappearing amongst the people again.
"She looks great!" Goten exclaimed suddenly standing next to Trunks, grabbing a cookie.
Trunks nodded. "She's really thinned out, all curvy now too."
Goten smiled in agreement. "I asked her out to dinner, to catch up on old times. You don't mind if I try my luck on her, ne? I mean, you get girls all the time, and I've been talking with her all evening. I think I really like her." He looked at his friend. "You don't mind right?"
Trunks shook his head, "Go right ahead," he lied. "I don't mind at all."
