Chapter 1

She had been walking for hours and desperately needed to get off her tired feet. Looking around, she suddenly came to the conclusion that she was lost. Utterly and hopelessly lost.
'Nice job!' she thought sarcastically to herself. She scanned the area looking for a place to ask for directions, and decided to stop into a nice restaurant. Italian. Her favorite. She pushed open the heavy door and walked up to the counter.
"Can I help you miss?" the man behind the counter questioned her in a thick Italian accent. The place smelt heavenly and she could always ask for directions later…
"Eggplant parm…dinner…for here please." He smiled at her and pointed at a table for two she could sit at. She sat down setting her pink purse on the table in front of her and crossed her legs at the ankle smoothing out her pink skirt.

"Trunks, save some for me!" the apparently angry brunette hissed at him. He continued to eat and laugh as her eyes narrowed in furry. Goten smiled.
"Chill Pan, we can order more, it's his turn to pay anyway!"
"Oh dear Kami-sama!" Bura cried suddenly, petite hand flying to her mouth. They all looked at her alarmed. "I forgot all about the sale at Blumies!" She finished picking up her bag and standing with new found determination. "Come on Pan!" she ordered as she marched to the door.
Pan answered her with a mock salute and got up to leave with her friend. "Ja minna-kun!" She cried with a wave as she disappeared from site behind the door.
Goten spun back around in his chair, from facing the door and sat to look at Trunks' blue eyes, about ready to start up a conversation about sparring or work or chicks. Trunks began to say something, but his mouth closed abruptly and his gaze flickered up towards the door once again.
"Nani? Trunks?" Goten asked. A girl, more like a woman, twenty-three or so passed by them, Trunk's eyes never wavering. She said something to the man behind the counter and turned to sit at the table directly across from the two boys, oblivious to their stares.
"Wow," they both said in unison. Trunks stood up brushing a piece of lavender hair behind his ear.
"I'll be right back"
Goten rolled his eyes. Another blonde trophy girlfriend. Typical. He watched as his friend strolled over to the girl and sat down in front of her.
"Hi there! My name is Trunks," She looked at him and smirked, their blue eyes meeting. She was very amused about something.
"Hello Trunks," she said in a soft, singsong voice.
"I-umm-I haven't seen you around here before," He said suddenly nervous. "Are you new in town?"
"Well, sorta…" He looked at her confused. "I used to know my way around Satan City, but I've been away for about five years traveling and such. I'm home visiting family and friends."
He nodded in understanding. "Well, maybe I could show you around sometime." Trunks suggested politely.
She was about to say something, but his watch caught her eye. She grabbed his wrist and looked at it, her eyes growing wide. "Oh no! I'm late!" She looked up at the man at the counter, and put some money in front of him. "Gomen, I don't have time to eat. Thank you anyway!" Then she turned back to Trunks. "It was lovely talking to you!" Pushing a stray blonde hair behind one ear she left.
"Wow," she laughed to herself as she walked away from the building. "I can't believe that just happened. Then she got upset. "Great, I didn't get the directions!"

"Nice, real smooth!" Goten laughed sarcastically as Trunks joined him at their table again.
"Shut up!"
This only made Goten laugh harder.
"Let's go," he put a wad of bills on the table and stood up. "Mom wants me home early, I'm not sure why, but I know I'm going to be late if we don't get going now."
