Fur Elise

A/N: So I got bored again. Sue me. I'm kinda in that Writer's block mode right now, so I'm just whipping up some Plotless (yes, that's right, PWP!) story of a Goten/Marron get-together. A/U warning. This is pretty bad. It's 12:04 AM and I have waaay too much caffeine running through my veins. Forgive all spelling/punctuation/grammer errors. Thank you. :) Disclaimer: Goten and Marron ain't mine. They belong to a bunch of rich people in Tokyo. Blah, blah, blah.

Warning! Incase you're dense or tried to skip the first part, this is *not* Goten/Bra. This is Goten/Marron, so if you don't like Marron and/or G&M, go away. Shoo! I don't want your flames, cause I warned you, dammit. *Grins sweetly* Now that all this is cleared, have fun!

Soft and nimble fingers flew across the keyboard, filling the dark room with the sweetest music. The owner of the fingers watched her work, brow knit together in concentration. Not once did she mess up before the song ended. She took a deep breath before banging the keyboard with clenched fists, the boom echoing off the walls.

"Kaasan..." The young woman whispered, and let out a choked gasp.

Juuhachigou was dead. She had died saving her daughter from yet another enemy that had tried to attack earth. He was defeated, of course, but he didn't go quietly. He had taken the life of her mother, as well as Son Gokou.

She thought back to the funeral, everyone seemed to be at a loss of words. Juunanagou was there, of course, although he remained expressionless the entire time. Half the time there, Marron was trying to read her uncle's expression, but it was nearly impossible. The only thing he looked was...empty. He placed a white rose on top of her casket, gave Marron a quick hug and was gone half-way through the funeral.

Bulma and Chichi had been crying. They had grown to know the andriod personally, all three were great friends, although Juuhachigou had always had a hard time admitting that.

The one who was effected worse, probably even worse then Marron, was Kuririn. Through the whole time tears were streaming silently down his face, although he said nothing. Marron wanted desperately to comfort her father, but she was probably at the same level of depression. Never in a million years would she expect to see her mother die.

Marron's mind focused back on the piano. Juuhachigou always loved the music it played, so naturally, Marron had started teaching herself. Juuhachigou was very proud of her daughter, although she had trouble showing how she felt. She always had.

Marron slowed the song she was currently playing and her mind switched to another person who was badly wounded mentally by a loss: Goten.

Marron remembered what Goten looked like at his father's funeral, wearing a mask that hid his feelings. He was...different. His dark eyes weren't sparkling, nor were they showing any sign of happiness whatsoever. They no longer held any warmth, and they strongly reminded Marron of dark tunnels.

She sighed. Once again turning to her work. She finished one song, then another, then another. She wouldn't let her mind wander.

'Can you hear me, kaasan?' She thought, still focused on her work. 'I'm playing for you.'

She finished yet another song, and after this one, half relaxing for that small moment before she resume she laid back lightly and stretched her fingers out. She closed her eyes, and started playing.

"You're really good, you know that?"

Marron jumped to her feet and looked around the room. "W-who's there!? Show yourself!"

The voice chuckled softly before the stranger stepped out into the light that was streaming through the window, casting shadows across his features. Marron sighed with relief.

"Oi, It's just you, Goten-kun."

He grinned slightly. "The one and only."

She gave a small smile before resting back down on the piano bench. She stared at the keyboard for a few seconds, as if she forgot to play. Goten tilted his head to one side. "What's wrong?"

Marron looked up. "Huh? Oh...nothing. I was just...thinking." She shifted uncomfortably. "About my mother."

Goten closed his eyes. "I'm so sorry, Marron-chan."

She shook her head. "Don't be. It wasn't your fault. Besides, you lost your father. Don't tell me that isn't hard on you?"

Goten gave a dry laugh. "Are you kidding? He's so use to it now he probably considers it a daily basis kind of thing. King Kai must really be sick of him by now."

Marron couldn't help but giggle. Goten smiled slightly, although his eyes still seemed to be filled with the same loss and grief.

A silence settled over the two for awhile. Neither of them spoke as Marron ran her hand over the keyboard and closed her eyes. She murmured something under her breath that Goten couldn't recognize. He finally smiled. "I heard you playing when you came in." Not a question.

Marron nodded slightly. "Yeah."

"You played beautifully. Did you take lessons?"

"Kaasan taught me," She whispered. "And I kinda taught myself."

He crossed the room and sat down next to her. "What was her favorite song?"

Marron thought for a moment, before saying, "Fur Elise, by Beethoven." She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and cleared her throat. "It was her most favorite, and it was the first one she ever taught me. She said she use to play that song to put me to sleep as a baby."

He smiled softly. "Will you play it for me?"

She hesitated, then nodded. "Sure."

She placed her fingers in place on the keyboard, pausing shortly. She half glanced at Goten and began playing. Goten watched her play, eyebrows rising. It was a very relaxing song, and it gave you a feeling of peace. [A/N If you've ever heard this song before, you know what I'm talking about.] He watched her hands freely roam the keyboard with a certain amount of impressment. She did not mess up once when the song finally slowed and came to a stop.

Goten was speechless. "Oh my god. Marron, how long have you been playing?"

"13 years," She said quietly. "Ever since I was 14."

"You're excellent."

"Thank you."

There was another pause before Goten spoke up again. "Do you know the song, 'Heart and Soul'?"

Marron looked at him out of the corner of her eyes. "Yes, I do."

"Then play it with me."

Marron looked taken aback. She blinked and gave him an odd look. "You've played the piano before?"

"Gohan taught me, once," Goten said, shrugging. "That's the only song I remember. So play it with me."

Marron looked at him awhile longer, before the corners of her mouth turned up in a smile. "Sure. You start."

Goten smiled softly before laying his fingers down on the keyboard and started to play. Marron watched him for a few seconds until it was her turn to follow. The music seemed to brighten up the dark and deserted room, filling it with a feeling of pure relaxion. Marron closed her eyes, letting her hands continue playing. The song finished rather quickly, leaving the room feeling cold and deserted again.

Marron started shaking. It seemed that just then she realized how cold the room was. She exhaled slowly, wrapping her arms around herself in an attempt to keep the cold out. She closed her eyes when she felt a strong arm circle around her waist and pull her closer.

"Goten, wha...?"

He looked confused at her look of shock. "You're cold, right? You've got goose bumps on your arms and you're shaking. I just thought you needed to get warmed up."

Marron gave him a small smile and let herself relax. He was very warm, Marron could always tell by the warmth in his eyes. But now she felt as if she had been placed infront of a warm furnace. She snuggled up closer to her source of heat, and nearly drifted to sleep, when...

*CLANG*

Both jumped, bolting Marron awake. She had rested her elbow on the keyboard by accident. Marron scowled and Goten burst out laughing.

"Beautiful, Marron-chan!"

She growled. "Shut up. I was falling asleep, I didn't know what I was doing."

"Really?" He blinked. "Oh, I had no idea. Should I take you home?"

She turned her head around to face him and smiled. "Yeah, that'd be nice."

His smile vanished. "Uhhh...Marron?"

She was about to open her mouth to say, 'What?', but suddenly realized just how close she was to the confused Saiyajin. Her cheeks started to burn. "Oh! Gomen, I just..."

She choked on her words when she took notice of his face inching closer. He had a wild, distant look in his eyes. Marron felt her heart beating wildly in her chest as he finally came within an inch from her face. She could feel his breath across her lips.

"You're so beautiful, Marron..."

The words she was going to say next were caught in her throat as Goten brought his face up to hers and kissed her. It was soft and tender at first, but it quickly turned passionate, Marron bringing her hand up and running it through Goten's hair, surprised to find it so soft.

It was only after her lungs started to burn from lack of oxygen that Marron pulled away, and both were breathing heavily. She couldn't help but giggle after she saw the state of Goten's hair, which was even more wild then it usually was.

"That was...oh, wow..." Goten said, exhaling slowly.

Marron grinned. "Breathless already, Goten-kun? Well, the games haven't even started yet."

He raised an eyebrow. "Are you hinting what I think you're hinting?"

"Wanna take a wild guess?"

He smiled and wrapped an arm around her waist. "You know how to push all the right buttons, don't you?"

"Now don't you want to find out, my petite Saiyajin?"

He didn't respond, just pulled her into another kiss. "I love you, Marron," He said quietly after they parted. Marron felt a shiver run down her spine and she laid her head on his shoulder.

"Me too, Goten," She murmured. "Me too."
